Red January

Is anyone planning on joining Red January? Rule is simple, some exercise every day of the month. Haven’t done it before but have been doing something 4/5 days a month in December after putting on way too much weight over lockdown(s) and WFH most of the year.

I'm signed up for the 4th time.
I initially tried to run every day as it was then, but found about 5 daysin a month when it was just a bit too much.
I aim it as outdoor exercise every day, mainly running, but also recovery walks and my outdoor classes. Some runs are short and easy. It's normally the start of week 2 when fatigue kicks in before easing again.

I hate January, but RED January does make the month more purposeful.

Yes I think I do anyway as in at least 10k steps every day but will try and up it all a bit!!

Me!!
I started running again properly during March lockdown and did well over the summer. But since the weather has turned my motivation has been seriously lacking.
I've never done it before, but heard about it on an old RunPod episode, and had vaguely read about it on here before. I thought it sounded a good way to kick me back into action.

Last year I did 4 or 5 days cycling to work and 1 parkrun a week in Jan so I was not far off doing it without trying, this year it's going to take 7 days of effort a week... Oh well I have good intentions! Good luck all.

3rd year for me and will definitely be signing up again in 2021 as I've totally lost my running mojo this past month or so. I would absolutely agree that full on running 7 days a week isn't great for the uninitiated (or anyone I'd imagine!) but I do make sure I go still go out for a run everyday but on a couple of those days use go very gently for 5/10 mins and then come home nice and warmed up for some yoga or a weight session.
