Are manual treadmills any good?

We've had 2 powered ones over the years off free cycle and they've both died. Having googled I don't think I could stretch to a brand new electric one. I love the one in the gym (the belt is super cushioned and I can run/jog comfortably for ages at up to 10kmh) but having looked I can see it cost almost as much as my car Grin

Have seen manual ones which are obvs much cheaper but not sure what weight of person or speed they can handle (suspect at 89kg I'm at/over the top end of the range for ours which is why they died Blush).

Anyone got any experience? Btw I have anxiety which is currently pretty crippling so not able to run outside much, hence wanting the treadmill. Am aware I could run outside for free but unfortunately it's not quite that simple.

I have no idea about manual treadmills but have you considered buying a second hand refurbished treadmill (usually an old one from a gym). I did this and got a good model much cheaper.
Good luck with you search

The curved manual ones are excellent but they are about 2.5k. Any cheap manual one will be rubbish imo.

I got mine on interest free credit from Nordic track. Is that an option? Or a second hand one.

These ones are brilliant but for the price tag you'd bloody hope so.

I have also used the curve woodway, I absolutely love it! Much better than a regular treadmill

Got ours just after lockdown on facebook marketplace, it wasn't very used. I think there will be some bargains in the spring.
