I hope I can run exercise classes - looking at the detail it appears that restriction applies to Tier 3. The lower tiers can still continue.

Keeping everything crossed!

Ironically social distancing was much better in my gym, where it was of necessity enforced, than in the weights area, where there was no one in charge to enforce it and absolutely no one seemed to care. I can see the logic behind this decision, but not sure I think it's necessary. It feels a bit like when they opened the barbers but not the beauticians.

We've had classes banned in Scotland for quite a few weeks now under level 3 restrictions. It doesn't make any sense really, the gym is still open where people move around and use equipment that others have just used, but in the studio it was all marked out on the floor to ensure people stayed socially distanced and everyone had their own equipment for the duration of the class. My gym has moved some classes to outside and they're live streaming things like yoga and pilates but classes such as spin and bodypump are just not happening.
On the scale of similar madness the kids are allowed swimming lessions but adults aren't and aquafit class is off too......but you can go lane swimming.....
It makes no sense to me!
