I am an unfit (mature) woman and really want to get a bit fitter. Am so tired by the end of the working day that I just want to flop.
Anyone any advice or does anyone want to join me in getting fitter ( and losing some weight) Confused

@Zazu44 that is great to hear that you are planning to include exercise in your life!

From another mature lady: you have got this!

From an injury rehabilitation therapist: don't train through the pain - ask for help if something doesn't feel right.

From a personal training perspective: do things you enjoy and build up incrementally. Getting fit doesn't have to cost a fortune - there is plenty of great resources available to support your journey :)

I advice but I need to do this too so I would like to join you. Do you have a plan?

Get the Sweat app. They’ve just added yoga and barre. Lots of proven results. I myself got very fit using it but then all went tits up after I went back to work Hmm I’ll start again though if you fancy joining?

90% of weight lose is diet I’m afraid but if you want to get fitter look at what you enjoy doing and build it into your daily routine. If you like walking then walk abit further. If you need some strength stuff do 20 Squats every time you boil the kettle. Move more in your daily life, cycle to the shops etc. Lots of stuff on you tube like fitness blender or yoga with Adrienne is good. If you like dancing try Zumba or ballet barre work. Get some cheap weights do arms whilst lunging. Find what you enjoy do it 3x a week and your get fitter. Gd luck. Find a online Facebook group that does a sport or activity you like and gain motivation from seeing others hit their goals too.

Me too OP. I try to couch to 5k but I don’t get any fitter really and can’t get to the 20min run. Intrigued by other apps

I keep (re)starting C25K @WitchWife! I got up to week 7 over the summer but now seem destined to repeat week 3 indefinitely Confused

I've started dog walking for a neighbour though, and am encouraging the DC to go bike riding/ to the park as often as we can, it added up to 17K steps yesterday.

How are you getting on @Zazu44? Did you have any particular exercise in mind?
