Has anyone bothered doing this twice??

I learnt to run with this years ago and loved it. Was running 5-10k a few times a week.

Gave up for ages, started again, stopped, started again etc etc

Last time I tried to run again I really struggled, could manage 2-3k but it was hard work

Is it worth starting the plan again? Or should I just run 2k for a few weeks and build up from there?
Thanks

I’ve done it three times Blush

The first time I redid it I’d only had about three months off, so I picked it up from Week 4 or 5.

The second time I redid it, it had been ages so I’d lost my fitness. Started again from Week 1.

I redid it this summer. Ran a HM in late Feb, but by June lost my mojo and my muscles were well seiezed up, so in August I did one of each run of C25k to build back up and concentrate on little and often. Extended milage in September, did a HM last week!

Wow HM!!!! That's impressive

I'm not sure I can face 9 weeks of it again.
But starting a few weeks in or doing one run from each week seems a bit less daunting

I’m currently re-doing it although don’t find running easy.

If you can currently run 2k comfortably, I would build up from there. Maybe look at the app, see which week equates to where you are at, and go from there.

I've done it a few times over the years. I think it doesn't matter about doing it for the full 9 weeks - any exercise is better than nothing - but I'd always stick to doing the runs in order otherwise you'll get injured and have to stop. Even if it takes you three weeks to do the runs from week 1, I'd do it that way to help your body adjust.

You really should do it all again. The reason it takes 9 weeks is that it's designed to prevent injuries. Don't see doing it again as a negative but as a positive step to regain your running fitness.
I've done it at least five times, I have a ongoing health issue (not related to running) and each time I have a flare up I have to stop running, as soon as I recover I start C25K again as it safely builds me back up to running 5+k.

I'm not really unfit, have done body combat, weights etc through lockdown
But I feel my running fitness is really poor

So the general consensus is to start again 😩

Well after all that, psyched myself up for a run and all the trainers were squeaky through my headphones and I couldn't hear them or follow the plan.

Ended up running 2.3k instead which was enjoyable but certainly not easy
