supplements for sports injuries

Interested to know if anyone takes/can recommend supplements for sport/exercise injuries? I've got rumbling Achilles tendonitis in both feet and have heard that turmeric might be helpful - but I have no knowledge about supplements and no idea where to start. Would appreciate any advice. Smile

Turmeric is supposed to be anti-inflammatory but you must take it with some kind of fat as it's otherwise very poorly absorbed.

Garlic is anti-inflammatory as well, and cheap! Squash/chop a clove and leave for 10-15 minutes before swallowing or adding to food. Mix with herbs (parsley or rosemary) and into Greek yogurt to help it go down if not in food.

Magnesium helped me with pain from tendonitis. Enough water and protein/fat to rebuild tissue is also essential. Of course, regular stretches/physio is non-negotiable.
