Running after falling and cracking ribs?

I cracked some ribs at the weekend. It is so painful. I'm using ice and pain control but it's agony.

Fractures normally take about 6 weeks but I have no idea about ribs and returning to running.

I'm so fed up. Sad

Ribs are such a pain. If you try to run too early as you'll re-crack them. You really do have to just stop until they're done - hope for four but allow up to eight weeks.

Thankyou. It seems like an absolute age!

Any exercise in the meantime? Cycling on a spin bike maybe?

Don't think I can manage swimming (breathing).

Don't do anything that hurts, basically. Pain is your body's way of telling you to fucking stop it!

Some days that'll be breathing. Get well soon!

Thankyou Grin
