Hello! I've recently had my second baby and am feeling ready to get back into shape. I'm going to get myself some sort of fitness tracker but don't know which one. I currently have the Fitbit Alta but it's not waterproof so I often forget to put it back on after a shower and it doesn't really do much anyway. Currently the Fitbit ionic and the Garmin vivoactive 3 are around £145 on Amazon which looks like a decent price.any advice on either of these or others?

I'm looking for something with the following...
Waterproof
Tracks running (speed and distsnce)
Tracks swimming (speed and distsnce)
Can use apps like couch to 5km on it
Bluetooth headphones
Can use Spotify
Sleep, general active time and heart rate would be a bonus but not essential
Ideally would like to be able to go for a run without taking my phone.

Cant be apple as I don't have an iPhone

Any thoughts?
Many thanks!

Garmins are a zillion times better than Fitbits.

I'd be tempted to Garmin ad both my by and I have fitbit and the app is forever breaking

I've got a Garmin Forerunner 645 and I love it. You can listen to music when running without having to take a phone out. It has so much data and useful stuff - it's great.

I got the vivoactive 3 for my birthday last week and so far I love it. Its linked with my fitness pal and strava accounts so things go between the 3 automatically. I've used it to record pilates (I put it down as yoga), a bike ride and a swim so far, no issues. It's easy to use and comfortable.

I have a vivoactive 3 and love it. Would genuinely be lost now without it! I don’t have the music one, but I wouldn’t run without my phone anyway so it doesn’t bother me.

Mine is connected to Strava, but the Garmin Connect app is also good for looking at your stats and tracking progress.

I have a Garmin Extreme. Its a bit like a military tactical watch but i use for hiking and its got GPS. Its waterproof and pretty hard wearing. I cant remember the name of the garmin I previously has it was like a feminine watch that smashed in no time. I recommend the Garmin Extreme.

Garmin sounds like the popular choice! Thanks! Will have another look at the vivoactive 3. I assume £149 is a good price for it...?

I have a Fitbit Ionic which my husband bought me for Christmas 2017.

However, given the choice I'd go back to my Garmin 220 for running - and I am sure the newer ones are so much more sophisticated.

One good thing about the Fitbit is the battery life and I can use it for swimming.

Another vote for Garmin. I have the vivoactive 4s, don’t think it’s much different to the 3.

Thanks! The Garmin vivoactive is Good for swimming as well isnt it? Definitely leaning towards that one... Just got to decide whether to risk waiting for a Black Friday deal 😬
