30 day abs. My bum hurts

Started a 30 day abs challenge. I've done others before, never the abs one. This one involves loads of situps every day. Today I'm on 75 situps. My bum really hurts around my tailbone. I can't do any more situps. Has anyone else had this, do I just need to toughen up? I do exercise regularly, just never this many situps. I sit on an exercise mat, I wondered about sitting on a towel too for extra padding, but maybe I'll just give up. I haven't even looked to see how many I'm meant to do on day 30, I'm only on day 11.

Can't say but that many sit ups sounds odd. I'd do more of a varied programme working on many different muscles. Often the posterior chain is least worked on but crucial in strength and movement. So yeah I wouldn't be doing that many crunches in the first place!

I had to use a cushion with this one. I gave up after it asked me to do 200 sit ups in a day.

I prefer doing ab stuff that is minimal but effective 🤣

honestly, these challenge things are completely pointless, and as you've found are likely to result in injury due to over-use and being ridiculously repetitive. Get yourself a decent core strength routine that uses a range of muscles.
