I have a few which I use for cycling, hiking and running and I can categorically say I think my Osprey ones are the best for all those activities. www.ospreyeurope.com/gb_en

I have an OM one, sold for cyclists but very good for running too. Very light, lots of useful pockets.

Decathlon do own brand very cheap similar ones, and Karrimor (a Sports Direct brand, if you don't object to shopping there) is good too

I love my Jansport one.

Depends how far and where you are walking. If you are hiking you may want to try some on in a proper outdoors shop. Or if its just for a dog walk or commute to work something a bit cheaper may be better. Millets/ blacks/trespass/decathlon on the high street can offer a good selection of sizes, fits and volume.
Osprey is excellent quality but very expensive and probably suitable for hiking.

I have an Osprey "womens" one and its brilliant. Lasted for years and fits extremely snug with the straps.
