Fitness band/ watch

Can anyone recommend a fitness band?

I would like it to record distance, speed and steps, track sleep, preferably have alerts for phone calls/texts. And ideally have an alarm clock!

I have a Samsung so compatible with that also.

Would love to get the samsung watch itself bit I'm hoping someone can recommend something cheaper!

Thanks all!

I think a fitbit would tick all of those boxes. I've had one in the past and I think it does all of the things you would want it to

Samsung seem to be about to launch the next Galaxy watch, to be called the Galaxy Watch 3. That should mean the older one drops in price. I hear it's not the best sports watch though..

It depends on your budget, but I'd recommend a garmin one. I bought the vivomove 3s after lots of research and I love it. The garmin ones have their own gps inbuilt so it doesn't need to run through your phone. And it's so pretty!

I got the Garmin vivosport a couple of weeks ago. I’ve attached a photo of it. It ticks all your boxes and the Garmin app is good. It links to Strava and the gps is very accurate.

I was looking at the Apple Watch, this doesn’t look as good, but it was cheaper and I really just wanted it for the fitness features rather than a smart watch.

I’ve had a Fitbit before but I prefer the Garmin.

I have a Fitbit which I love but I took up running with a friend and she has an Apple Watch. It turns out that the Fitbit distances are way off and the apple is dead on. I use MapMyRun on my phone for distance instead.

Thanks all! Will take a look at Garmin and Fitbit. The accuracy on the Samsung was the only thing putting me off actually. GPS won't actually be essential because I've had to stop outdoor running and start using a treadmill anyway!

I love my Garmin vivo active 3 (I think )

squaresandsquares · 28/06/2020 10:59

Yes no 3

I brought a cheap one for on Amazon and didn't work well or for long. If u can afford it maybe spend more.
Someone may come along who has used that Aldi one and have a better review

ButtonHogger · 28/06/2020 11:04

That's what I'm thinking square the price may reflect the accuracy!

I definitely found that the price reflected the accuracy, to a degree. I bought a cheap Huawei one a couple of years ago and it was useless. I think there's a big difference between the really cheap sub-£50 ones and the more expensive ones.

Batqueen · 28/06/2020 12:42

I have the Fitbit charge 3 and I love it!

ButtonHogger · 28/06/2020 20:02

Batqueen that's what I ordered today!
