Running bra for big boobs

Hi! Looking for a recommendation. I'm just coming to the end of week 5 of couch to 5k and feel like I'm getting there. Making progress though I still find it difficult. One thing which I think might help me out a bit though is a decent running bra. I'm a 36E and in the UK. I've been using my shock absorbers that I bought several years ago which have been doing a job but I'm wondering what is good out there now that I'm looking to invest in a new one (or two) to help me keep this momentum up...and my boobs still!
Thanks!😊

34FF and have only found Shock Absorbers to work. Sadly, I have to ask someone to help me fasten them so can only run distance if I'm at home with the husband or away with friends. It's a pain as I work away a lot. Can do a short run with a basic Shock Absorber as it only has a standard fastener. Would love a front fastening, high performance sports bra so going to try Enell next. Have tried other brands and they're useless.

Have had a shock absorber in the fast but recently started up joe wicks so ordered one of the Freya sports bras - has been decent so far. Got my for £40 off amazon!

Which shock absorbers do you use? I haven't bought new in ages which is probably why my current ones aren't doing the job so well anymore. I've found ones with the two fasteners to be better in the past. Haven't tried any other brands at all. I'm happy to spend a bit on it if it does the job well.

I have a Shock Absorber Ultimate Run. It doesn't fit perfectly but bloody hell it holds the girls in place. I have found they come up small around the back. I have a 30FF (usually a 28G) but I could really do with a 30G.

Howaboutthisone · 13/06/2020 13:08

I'll have a look at that one too now. Am also looking at the enell website.

This one from Debenhams is amazing. So comfortable. It's the only bra I wear now so I can run after my 3 year old without pain or worry! Gives fantastic support and a great shape. Currently discounted. I'm a 38FF. www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_150010202762_-1

Always used shock absorber but the new bravissimo atlas is also good

CMOTDibbler · 13/06/2020 13:11

Runderwear is my new favourite sports bra. Comfortable, you can wear your normal size, and as well as great control you don't get monoboob

CalmConfident · 13/06/2020 13:11

Panache - they are brilliant !

Do check your size boob n bust...36e sounds a bit suspect.

This one - best one ever (34ff)

Athrawes · 13/06/2020 13:16

Lululemon enlite. It is so comfortable, no wires no digging in, keeps these puppies in place 32e

Howaboutthisone · 13/06/2020 14:27

Thank you! @CalmConfident what sounds suspect about the size? I was measured this in bravissimo funnily enough.

I've always had Shock Absorber Run bras but mine are past their best and I've got my eye on some Sweaty Betty ones I've heard good reports of.

Lincs90 · 13/06/2020 14:33

I'll add another recommendation for Panache. They're my favourite sports bra by miles.

CalmConfident · 13/06/2020 14:34

If you have been measured that’s great !

Howaboutthisone · 13/06/2020 14:36

Which 'model' of the panache and sweaty Betty please?

I'm now concerned about my suspectly sized boobs too 🤣

Rayna37 · 13/06/2020 14:57

Sweaty Betty Ultra Run or Victory I think.

@SlaughteredChicken have you tried doing the top clips up before you put it on, then over your head then arms in and do the back up? That's the only way I can get in. Possibly not the clearest description!

CalmConfident · 13/06/2020 14:58

The panache one I linked too...wired sports bra...lots of colour choices !

passthemustard · 13/06/2020 14:59

How is 36E suspect???

I'm 32GG and really struggling to find ANY good bras at the moment.

CalmConfident · 13/06/2020 14:59

Apologies for saying your size was suspicious!

CalmConfident · 13/06/2020 15:01

Just seemed a big back size to cup...these S&B thread always seem to indicate go smaller on band and bigger on cup !

yearinyearout · 13/06/2020 15:02

My last one was from M&S and is fab, really comfy and supportive. (DD bust)

Howaboutthisone · 13/06/2020 15:05

That's ok @CalmConfident 🤣
It has made me want to check the sizing though. Which isn't a bad thing!
I'll have a look at those recommendations thank you!
