Running 5x a week and strength training

Just that really. Does anyone mind sharing their exercise routine if you run 5x a week? Not sure which days to do it

At the moment I run Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun. Wed is my fast run, tue and Thursday short steady runs, sat is long run, sun is easy recovery run. I'm training for marathon if it's relevant.

I'd do strength training on a day you either don't run at all or do a short easy run on the day or the day after. In the 24 hours after training your body will be trying to build muscle so you shouldn't overload it with running fast on the same day.

I run every other day and do both yoga and HIIT with weights on my non run days. Works really well for me :)

You could do an upper body/lower body split and then adjust your running around that.
On leg day, you could do an easy run in the evening/morning after the run, it would help with recovery. Save your long runs, fast intervals for after your upper body, either running before you weight train, or in the evening after a bit of recovery. You could do your longest run on a Sunday and no other training apart from maybe a gentle yoga flow.
I run 6 days a week, and weight train 3 or 4 days a week and this way works for me

Thanks!

I think I'll try Monday and Thursday and see how I get on.

I wouldn't work lower body the day before your speed or long run. Core etc fine but you might find you're running on really tired legs if you do strength the day before a key run (I definitely do!)
