Reformer Pilates

Thinking of starting it. Has anyone done both (mat and reformer) and what’s the difference in the end result? I go to the gym regularly, just want to try something different. I don’t really enjoy yoga so don’t want to do mat Pilates either hence looking at reformer.

They are very different. My gym offers both and I enjoy the reformer way more. Not sure about end results. Both makes me very aware of my body but when it comes to sculpting, I think one should do a lot more than the odd her twice or thrice a week.
What really made a difference was boxing and very high intensity interval training with weights.

Both are different. I also hate yoga and fell in love with Pilates. It’s completely different.

I feel I work harder on the reformer due to the resistance and I get a good arm and leg workout as well as core. I do both though as they’re complimentary. I would say mat is a bit more core.
