Running and nerve pain

I've just started c25k, I've done 5 runs so far over the last fortnight. During the last run two days ago the inside of my shin felt strange, not exactly painful but weird. Seven years ago I fell down the stairs and should have gone to hospital but stupidly didn't. My leg bruised so much that I damaged a nerve in that spot and the inside of my leg was numb for at least a year. It's been fine the last six years or so. Do you think running could set off my nerve pain again and if it does do you think it might improve as I get used to running? I will see a dr if it continues and once drs appointments are available again but I wondered if similar had happened to anyone else. I love running and would hate to have to stop.

How is this going? Are you still running?

Unfortunately I don't really feel qualified to offer advice but I'm curious as to whether it's improved. Your leg is not swollen or sore but on the other hand as a new runner who's been previously injured, you probably need to be super careful because those are risk factors for injury.

I hope you get some good advice from someone who has had a similar experience.
