Cardio with a hip injury

I really wish I could run or do HIIT. I have hip bursitis/Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome. I am doing my exercises from the physio and a bit of Pilates and yoga. But I know I need to lose weight and this would help with the hip.
Currently I can do short walks but if I do too much in one go it hurts and my back can hurt too.
