Recommendations please, I have flabby calves and not great ankles especially.

Running. Plus Maybe something body weight based to avoid the 'flat ass' thing which is so unfashionable these days, weighted squats or similar. My legs are the best they have ever been, a combination of yoga, hiit, running, dieting, body brushing and tan!

Barre - try a free class on Barrecore (only the first one is free) or type in barre workout on YouTube - Popsugar Fitness has some good ones.

Plus some hilly-ish running and you’re good.

I shall have a look at the Barre stuff, I'm presuming it's a bit Lotte Berk style which I think was quite popular back in the day?

I'd say squats. Low impact, but

Ballet barre can be really dangerous if it's not taught properly by an actual trained ballet teacher. From what I see, it doesn't teach you to use your turn out muscles properly - far better to do an actual ballet class, with a properly qualified teacher.

Do Pilates or yoga if you want that lengthening effect.
