Spinning after birth

Thatsanicepear · 03/03/2020 16:32

I gave birth to my son almost 9 weeks ago. I had to have an episiotomy which has now fully healed. I would like to go back to a spinning class this weekend but I don't know if I should wait a bit longer yet. Does anyone know what I should do? I've tried googling it but not finding anything. Thanks!

Oh hell yes! At 9 weeks I'd give it a go. It's low impact so probably one of the best forms of exercise to choose. I'd just suggest listening to your body and stop if anything feels uncomfortable.
(Though I ran a half marathon at 8 weeks postpartum, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask...)

It was months before I done any exercise let alone spin but that was mostly down to childcare, I would maybe suggest one of the gel seat covers to make it easier on the area

Thank you all for your replies! I have booked a class on Saturday morning. Will take it very easy at first!
