Trainers help!

Sorry if this has been done to death! I’m a beginner at running, working up to 5k level. I’m using my Skechers go run 400 which are years old and I think aren’t supportive enough anymore as my knees ache a bit after a run.

I’m going round in circles trying to find suitable footwear. I’m a size 3, and really can’t afford to spend £££. I do mostly road running, but would like either a trail shoe or hybrid if such thing exists! I’ve heard good things about ASICS. Could anyone recommend a decent trainer that works for them?

kids trainers? Sports direct would have some in your size.

Go to your local running shop but check that they also stock childrens shoes. My son wears Asics as he has dreadful problems with his feet and they are the only trainer that dont hurt his feet, his cost £45 and hes a size 4. Insist on trying the childrens sizes though, they are cheaper.

I’ve just ordered some kids GT 1000 ASICS. Thank you so much for the tip. My partner got money off through his work too. Bonus!
