I've been getting back into exercise but having to take a break from running because I have a crap pelvic floor and my bladder gets sore and irritated.

Can't do swimming regularly as the chlorine gives me thrush Hmm

What low-impact exercise could I do that burns some calories and makes a difference to fitness? Pilates or something else?

Walking.

Definitely spin classes. I too have pelvic floor issues and do spin, step classes on low impact options and Pilates.

Walking. Leslie Sansone has a bunch of free videos on Youtube. They are oddly relaxing.

Spin. I'm a runner too, and when I've had to take a break due to injury, spin is the only non-impact exercise that's kept my fitness up.

Pilates - excellent for strengthening the pelvic floor and core.

Yoga with Adriene

Have just got into exercising after a break and started with walking that has made a huge difference to my general fitness. I'll go out of a mile walk during my lunch break and Lesley Sansone and Up to the Beat YouTube routines too.

Indoor rowing. Really low impact and works so many different muscles.

GreyishDays · 22/02/2020 11:36

Gillian Michaels ‘yoga’.

Thanks, lots of great ideas here.

I love walking (average 4 miles a day) so that's already in the mix but looking for something that feels like it's burning a bit more!

Will look into spin and pilates and see if I can find a class near me.

Did do rowing when I had a gym membership a while back but I found it quite boring, I need something with a bit of variety in a half-hour workout ideally!

I do my own besides walking ... a bit of cycling and some cross training & some weights for strength at the Gym.

An other good workout is walking up/ down stairs for 15 - 20 minutes.

Barre or pilates
