A thread to post fantasy exercise plans

I quite like exercise, but I love making dream exercise schedules. I love to overthink and over plan then do the bare minimum exercise required to keep my dream alive.

I'm guessing I'm not the only one, so thought I'd start a thread where others might like to indulge.

The dream:
Monday: treadmill intervals and hot yoga
Weds: bouldering
Friday: bouldering, 5 mile run, hot yoga
Sat: bouldering
Sunday: 5 mile run

My running goals are reasonably realistic, but reckon my yoga and bouldering goals are a bit ambitious. In a dream world, I'd do yoga twice a week but I'd be happy with once. Likewise, three bouldering sessions a week would be ace, but 1-2 would be a good.

Anyone else feel like sharing?

Oh I've never heard of bouldering.
Monday: spin
Tuesday: weight session 1hr
Wednesday: spin and core
Friday: punch bag circuit
Saturday: body combat

I've tried a few different things over the last couple of years, pole-hurt my hands, yoga-bloody hate it never know when to breathe.
Spin is my favourite thing in the world right now, it is in the dark with disco lights and banging tunes and my only thought is-when am I going to die?!

bananacakerox · 31/12/2019 20:50

In the wintertime, mine would be -

Mon - spin & wash hair
Tues - off
Weds - yoga
Thurs - swimming & wash hair
Fri - off
Sat - 10 min run to gym then 1 hour workout, walk back
Sunday - off

I like to synchronise my hair washing as you can tell! This is subject to change due to other eve commitments etc.

But I live in the 2020 dreamland of achieving this routine at least 2 weeks out of 4.

Mimishimi · 01/01/2020 12:10

My dream exercise week would be:

Monday: Jillian Michaels Body Revolution (JMBR) Workout 9 + 6 week 6 pack Level 1
Tuesday: JMBR Workout 10 + 6 week 6 pack Level 2
Wednesday: JMBR Cardio 3 + 3 hour dance practise
Thursday: JM BR workout 11 + 6 week 6 pack Level 1
Friday: JMBR workout 12 + 6week6pack level 2
Saturday or Sunday (I work weekends) - JMBR Cardio 3 + another 3 hour dance practise.

Sigh - in reality I do about 4 or 5half hour workouts each week.

This is fantasy, right?

I don't exercise. But on Fridays from now on, I plan to walk to work rather than use public transport. Honest.

Awesome Grin
I'm going to Run Every Day January.
And do 30 mins yoga.
And do 30 Day Shred
Plus fling some kettlebells around and not get injured.

Honest Grin

I did start with parkrun though Wink

CalamityJune · 01/01/2020 14:30

Fantasy:

Mon: Crossfit with a run to and from
Tuesday: Swimming
Wednesday: Running speed session
Thursday: Spinning followed by heavy weights
Friday: Yoga followed by easy swim and sauna
Saturday: Park Run
Sunday: Hilly walk in the country side.

Reality:

Daily freezing mooch round the park with very slow toddler, followed by a slightly faster dog walk lasting no more than 30 mins due to Pelvic girdle pain Sad

Freshprincess · 01/01/2020 14:37

I'm training for a marathon so my real plan is a bit brutal for the next five months.

Fantasy
Monday - yoga
Tuesday - rest
Wednesday - 3m interval training (not uphill though)
Thursday - social 5m after work with friends
Friday - weight training or swimming.
Saturday - easy parkrun followed by coffee and toast with friends
Sunday - easy long run circa 7 miles

Also in my fantasy plan, one 30 min weight session will give me a six pack and Michelle Obama's arms.

mymadworld · 03/01/2020 23:50

Glad to hear it's not just me that enjoys making exercise schedules Grin. Fantasy schedule:
Monday: 1 hr gym strength training
Tuesday: 45 min swim
Wednesday: speed/hill training session
Thursday: gym strength training am and evening yoga class
Friday: 10-12km trail run
Saturday: parkrun am
Sunday: REST

Falling a bit a lot short at the moment but doing yoga and swimming at least Grin

mymadworld · 03/01/2020 23:51

Your fantasy week sounds similar to mine @freshprincess

RacheyCat · 12/01/2020 03:53

Oooh.

Monday: Lunch time yoga, then a couple of hours later, return to gym for 45 mins treadmill followed by Les Mills CXWORX

Tuesday: One hour treadmill followed by Les Mills CXWORX

Wednesday: 45 mins treadmill followed by yoga.

Thursday: Pilates.

Friday: 90 mins treadmill. Bodybalance in the afternoon.

Saturday: Treadmill followed by CXWORX.

Sunday: Treadmill followed by yoga.

TheAirbender · 12/01/2020 04:00

Three day cycle of Body Pump, RPM, Body Balance. Balance counts as the rest day. Since making room for a small home gym it’s not actually such a fantasy! Les Mills on Demand app is excellent.

ShinyGiratina · 12/01/2020 19:58

RED12: Yoga with Adriene including today's Home video and Run Directing at junior parkrun which is the best part of a couple of km pulling the equipment trolley. Plus I have to jump around to lead the warm up Wink

ShinyGiratina · 12/01/2020 19:58

Darn, wrong thread!

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 12/01/2020 20:06

Monday - take DS to indoor skate park under 8s session after school and roller skate while he scoots his bike around.

Tuesday - roller skate in the park on the way back from the school run.

Wednesday - pilates

Thursday - roller skate in the park on the way back from the school run.

Friday - social skate session in sports hall

Saturday - roller skate in the park while DS scoots his bike around. Get him to put out cones for me to skate around etc.

Sunday - roller skating lesson in sports hall.

I've become a bit obsessed with roller skating Grin
