Hi - hope someone can advise . I'm just recovering from a very bad chest infection and flu . Normally I am not in the fittest of health - I have a chronic condition which makes me very tired. But I do have a dog I walk three times a week for half an hour and I have two very active jobs so my step count is probably ok but not brilliant .
I have a hip problem at the moment which gets worse with walking so physio told me to limit any walks to 45 minutes till better. She is going to refer me to the gym once my core is sorted out .

I really want to get back to optimum health but I'm just finding it hard finding energy after the illness !

Anything to suggest at the mo ? Illness was only 2-3 weeks ago . I realise this is fairly recent so worried about what I can and can't do . It's really knocked me ! Thanks

OP; how old are you, and have you exercised before? I think the hip problem is going to be more of an issue than the chest infection tbh.

I'm 48 . I've always been really active but in the last ten years no gym just running around and dog walking . Dog walking varies from power walking to ambling along .
My hip problem is actually gluteal tendonitis . Worse on right side . I'm doing exercises from the physio and it's actually improving . It is worse though for lots of walking - for instance i recently walked around a town in holiday for several hours and it was very painful afterwards . It's also worse for swimming .
Any advice appreciated as desperate to increase physical fitness . I have started yoga at home which I love .

Previously pre DC I went to gym regularly.
