So I’m an ideal weight for my height but I feel really stiff and unfit, wobbly everywhere. Not helped by the fact I have fibromyalgia and ache almost all the time especially in my pelvis and my sciatica is agony. Been told I can’t do any HIIT. I did some yoga in the past was thinking yoga or Pilates or is there anything else. I’m also really tired all the time which doesn’t help. Oh and I hate swimming as the pool is always far too cold for me.

I've got Fibro. I do lots of stretching, functional exercises otherwise I stiffen up completely. Tai chi is good for Fibro too.

I joined a gym with a pool that's marginally warmer than most, and a large spa pool. I do my physio exercises in the pool. I can't actually swim- it hurts my neck, but I do quite a bit of exercise in the pool.

Yoga and Pilates are both brilliant for sciatica- I have it but it’s way better when I do yoga regularly.

If you’re feeling like it’s really hard going, try just small amounts of Yoga With Adriene on YouTube; her routines for back pain saved me when mine was at its worst

I do hula hooping to help with my lower back and my sciatica .

But I dont know how well that would be for fibro

Please take advice from a qualified person because this could be bad for your condition, but I find that 10 mins of exercise movements on a vibration plate tones me more than 3-4 hours of exercise. My local gym has them.

My local tai chi class is a 'tai chi for health' group. (Dr Paul LAN franchise.)

It's really friendly, several of us have Fibro,

Also, google 'slow running'. It's a sort of shuffle/jog- no impact. I've only tried it round the house, so far. It feels acceptable to my tired achey body, though!
