Does anyone else do aerials?

I started doing hoop about 3 months ago and have now added silks. For the first few weeks I could barely move but I'm feeling far stronger now
It's really motivated me to do yoga and some strength training in order to get better at hoop. I'd also really like one in my house.
I'm constantly watching people do aerials on instagram and youtube.
I guess I've found my 'thing' and I love it, I think about it all the time and just wondered if we could have an aerials thread.
I'm 40 and not particularly bendy although I'm assured that will improve somewhat.

Hoop and pole but medical reasons mean I've been forced to take time off!
I started with pole and had a go at hoop then did both

I’d love to try this but there isn’t anywhere close that does this

Hi, I've been doing pole for about 6 months now (only once a week). I love it! I would like to try hoop as well, but I don't have the time at the moment. Silks look cool, but really hard!

I think silks are the hardest, although if you've done pole you might find it a bit easier to start with. My shoulders always ache the day after silks day.
I love hoop so much I now have one installed in my house. I'm never off it. DH has got used to watching TV in the evening with me spinning away in the corner.

Ha ha, my shoulders always ache the day after pole too! I have a pole at home, unfortunately I'm not on it as much as I'd like. I love the image of your DH watching TV and you hooping away Grin
