This TEDtalk is so interesting. Women are not small men..working with our physiology.

Will come back to this one. (Can't have volume just now). But I get frustrated with the fact that guys (maybe irregular runners etc) are always so damn fast compared to me. And seemingly with little sodding effort Hopefully this gives good reasons for me

This is an excellent talk - Dr Stacy Sims is pretty much the leading world authority on women's nutrition and training, and she has a massive following, particularly of triathletes and cyclists. If you enjoy her talk then it's well worth getting a copy of her book 'ROAR' which goes through how you should train and eat according to your body shape and stage in life, whether you still have periods or are menopausal. It's an really interesting read and packed full of practical advice.

She seems to promote a lot of woo, like adaptogens & adrenal fatigue.

Thanks for sharing I too have just ordered the book. As I’m mid-40s my hormones have gone bonkers with peri-menopausal so I’m trying to learn more to fuel myself with out flipping gaining weight all the time!

I think the feminist board would find this interesting.

Thanks everyone..I love it when a TED pops up and it really speaks to you. They're an amazing innovation. I'm going to get her book as I'm struggling to balance eating/exercise and weight loss/gain..thrown between lows and highs depending on the stage in my cycle. I'm 50+ and it's jolly hard work.
