hi all

can anyone recommend a really good sports bra. i usually wear 34g prima donna bras. Serious construction and they give good support. i've started using gym more, and would like to get a good sports bra, but have never used one before. prima donna do them, so i may well fork out and try, but before i do that, wondered if anyone here, especially of a similar size and need for really good support, would recommend anything different. i usually wear underwired.
Thanks all

The Panache (underwired) is fantastic

I've seen many people recommend Enell

Check out Bravismo

That's my size and I got a good one from Marks. Has a zip down the front as I was breastfeeding at the time but still wear it now, is v comfy, easy to wear and put on u like some which can have several clips at the back at that size and definitely keeps them in place. Was about £25 too iirc.

Love my enell. Pricey, but worth it IMO.

Toohardtofindaproperusername · 16/09/2019 23:28

thanks all. am also checking out previous threads. daria - i haven't heard of enell but will chec kout. money not so much of a problem - i'll invest in a good quality bra as its so essential. just not looking forward to having to check stuff out. i've got a bit safe with my knowledge of bras and what works for me.. sports bras could be a whole new 'try it on, return it' try another, try again' type of experience.
thanks stella - it does look like panache are recommended highly. i did just want to check out if it would still be recommended by 34g types :)
june and cuppa - thanks also. they don't seem to work so well for me, but i will bear in mind if i pass the shop sometimes soon.

right - i guess an internt shopping order is due...

thanks again

steall and daria ... do you wear the same size in enell and panache as day to day bras? i'm imagining trying a couple of sizes, and likely a gg or h. in cossies i have to go up a cup size due to material

Before I lost weight I was a 36 G

And had the Panache.

They bring it out in different colours (some very bright) every season, so you can find previous colours quite often online at a discount.

AuntieStella · 17/09/2019 08:30

And I found the sizing 'true'

(not the case with the brand I wear now!)

smileylottie87 · 17/09/2019 08:46

I use a Freya one, it is the best sports bra I have had, nothing moves at all

Greybeardy · 17/09/2019 17:24

I usually wear 2 at the same time...a shock absorber with one of M&S zip front extra high impact jobbies on top. Literally nothing moves!

Runningonempty84 · 18/09/2019 21:39

I used to be a 34H and run long distances at that size, so have some experience here... IMO the Panache is best, followed by the underwired Freya Active.

Enell was ok for shorter runs, but mine really chafed over longer distances. I tried two different sizes too (0 and 1, maybe?), and that didn't help.

I'd definitely go for the Panache. You can usually pick them up in "old" colours fairly cheaply.

I love my Shock Absorber Ultimate Fly. I had an Ultimate Run before which was fab for keeping things where they belong, but the adjuster hooks on the back were a fracking nightmare. The Ultimate Fly has a regular strap adjuster on the back which is far better. I'm a 32G for reference.

Cockadoodledooo · 22/09/2019 15:45

Another Shock Absorber vote here. I'm 34F,but had to go up a band size with it because it felt very constricting in my actual size.

Lovely. Thank you all for advice. Have ordered a few to chooose from based on your recommendations. Hopefully one will do the trick!

Hi op. Enell sizing is different to standard bra sizing. You measure bust & rib cage, and follow their chart from size 00 - 8. Have a look on their website. I really like mine!

Rosere · 23/09/2019 17:46

Syrokan high Impact. I am an FF and absolutely love these. I ditched shock absorber for them. I buy the 34e to fit 32ff. I think they do underwired too but I buy them for work also so I avoid the underwire. Amazon. I think 20quid.
