Where do I start again??

Completed w9r1 about 3 weeks ago, just before going on holiday. Couldn't run whilst away due to heat and humidity, even at night (Florida). Also, managed to kill my trainers at the theme parks ( sole fell off!), so have been waiting for new pair to arrive......

So, was thinking of rejoining at week 6, then moving on quickly through the longer runs....does that sound ok, or do I need to go back to the beginning?

It depends how hard you were finding it, but if it was me I’d probably just drop back to week 8. You won’t lose all your fitness in 3 weeks

Thanks miff, once I'd broken the 25 minute run, I found the extra few minutes quite easy, so maybe will just go from week 8.

I’d say you ‘were there’ as a runner. You’ll probably find that despite any holiday excesses (apologies if you were very good), your body has had a chance to rest and recover and your strength and speed surprise you!

Well done-it’s a fantastic achievement Smile

Well done. I'd drop back to week 7 and have a couple of easy runs, or do a makeshift week of the back end of 7 plus a couple from week 8.

GeorgeTheFirst · 09/09/2019 22:53

I'd guess week 8

Frazzlesandacoke · 10/09/2019 20:21

Thanks all! Will give it a try from week 8. Really glad I don't need to go back any further Smile

I didn’t run for 2 years and I restarted at week 3! just test the water and see what happens.
