Knee injury-can I run?

I’m not sure how (could have been running/weights or injury-dh accidentally elbowed me in the knee) but my knee is sore when put weight on it/walk/do anything.
It seems to be down the inside led side of the knee cap. It’s not so painful that I can walk but it sore/uncomfortable enough that I notice.
I’ve lost weight lately due to running/weights and I’m scared if I stop running I’ll put it all back on. Any advice on excercise I can do without aggravating it?

How recently was this blow?
So it's a lateral blow? Something that doesn't put stress thru laterally should be ok, as long as it doesn't hurt more afterwards. Cycling (spinning) or swimming front crawl might be worth a try. Rowing, upper body work, such as swimming using your legs very minimally.

Keeping active can often help keep up circulation & promote healing.
