Hi all,

I'm a complete newbie to exercise and really want to sort myself out, get more cardio into my life and tone my body up.

I'm a SAHM and am very active (between 10,000 and 15,000 steps a day average) but have never done any proper exercise. I struggle to run or go to a gym as I have 3 kids (youngest is 3 and at home with me every day) and a husband who works long hours.

So I figured a good place to start is some kind of online video or DVD? What do you think? Who is good to follow on YouTube for newbies?

Take a look at the fitnessblender website, there are loads of workout videos. You can filter by length, training type, equipment etc.

Good luck!

I know this thread is a few weeks old but I wanted to recommend the Davina workout DVDs (which you can also watch through Prime Video). There is one called Fit in 15 which I am doing and it is great because each workout is only 15 mins including warm up. Even my velcro baby can cope for 15 mins while I jump up and down in front of her.

Lots of people can't bear Davina I know Grin but I can and I have found these brilliant for getting in shape. You just need arm weights, although you can use cans of baked beans to start, plus a mat or rug. I use my daughter's play mat!
