Water bottle recommendations

I want a new water bottle. I’ve gone off my old shaker ones that I used to use for protein shakes. I don’t usually drink protein shakes now and just want a nice bottle for water. I don’t like plastic bottles generally and have glass cups and bottle I used at home although realise this isn’t practical for the gym or even if we’re allowed glass bottles in the gym. I wouldn’t want a metal one so it would be plastic I think.

Just had a look and liked this but it’s £80!

TIA

Any ideas?

Kleen Kanteen are great

Squ1ggle · 29/06/2019 17:14

Oh sorry, misread your post, just realised you don't want metal

AliceRR · 29/06/2019 17:17

I like the look of the Joseph ones but the reviews are not very good (break easily, leak etc)

Yeah I’m not keen on drinking out of metal @Squ1ggle but thank yoy

Tkmaxx have got lots in at the moment, I got one of these from there for £9.99.

mrsb345 · 29/06/2019 17:22

Have a look at 'hydratem8' they have a sale on up to 50% off..
I swear by my metal 'chilly's bottle' though and I was very anti metal!

AliceRR · 29/06/2019 17:30

I have something similar to this but it’s glass

🤔 Not sure whether I should rethink metal but I’ll only know if I like it by getting one...

80 quid for a water bottle!

Baritriwsahys · 29/06/2019 17:41

Christ we have serious problems if we need to link our water bottles to an app to remind us to do one of the most basic things like drink.

£80 as well, they must see their customers from a mile off!!!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 29/06/2019 17:45

Camelbak Eddy is the one I have settled on after much experimentation. Might be a bit cheap for you though.

Mondayblues7 · 29/06/2019 17:45

Hydratem8. I love mine.

Agreed. I liked it for the look but not worth £80 obvs

I don’t mind that

hydratem8

They’re ok

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m sure I’m being a bit fussy 🙈

I second the Camelbak Eddy - best water bottle I've ever used!

AliceRR · 29/06/2019 21:09

Thanks

I’ve just been to Morrison’s and bought a bottle there. I quite liked it. It’s glass with a silicone cover. I got it in yellow (think it looks better in real life)

It was £4. I wouldn’t mind a filter one maybe (Brita) but I’m quite happy with this for now

I’d been taken bottled water and I know it’s not v environmentally friendly...

Wow, that's really smart!

AliceRR · 29/06/2019 22:03

I really liked it

Think it’s looks better IRL too (photo a bit dark / bright flash)

Great for the price!

They had some nice metal bottle ones too that I was tempted by but decided on the glass

The Morrison's one looks good. I have this which I really like too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/MIU-COLOR-Bottle-Borosilicate-Silicone/dp/B076DC4384/ref=mpssa1117?keywords=glass+water+bottle+plastic+cover&qid=1561848754&s=gateway&sr=8-17

AliceRR · 30/06/2019 00:14

I like that one @testingtesting111

I quite like it. It doesn't have a filter, but I have a Britain's tap. So far the bottles have proved husband proof 😁

AliceRR · 30/06/2019 16:05

Yeah I have a Brita jug that I keep in the fridge so I’ll just fill my bottle up with that. It’s fine as most of the time I don’t refill again when I’m in the gym

OP posts:
AgnesNutterWitch · 30/06/2019 21:27

I have the Brita fill and go active (the dark plastic one) and it's brill, both for gym and life in general. Tap water where I am tastes awful and this way I can refill away from home.

AliceRR · 30/06/2019 21:30

A filter one would be good but I’m not keen on the look of the plastic on the Brita active one - not sure how to describe it. I’m more attracted to the normal Brita one from the pics but maybe I’d have to see it in real life
