Open water swimming goggles - advice please

My son is training for his first triathlon which includes a 1.2 mile sea swim. He has done most of his training in the pool but over the last couple of weeks has started some open water training too but is having problems with his goggles fogging up.

Can anyone recommend some good goggles for open water swimming please.

TIA

Have you looked at swim masks, like aquasphere vista pros

Unfortunately ive found swim goggles a matter of trial and error. Everyones face is different and what is great for one person is no good on another
Also you only need the tiniests of cuts in the seal and they steam up.
Take him to somewhere like Decathlon where you can try different makes. You just need to put them up against your eyes (without the strap on) and see if the suction keeps them on and creates a seal.

Has he tried the anti-fog spray stuff you can get? It works brilliantly in my goggles for skiing and stops fogging all day long.

Typhoon anti fog liquid is the only thing that has worked for my husband. You can get it from scuba dive suppliers. He's doing his second Ironman triathlon this summer. Good luck to your son Smile

A smear of baby shampoo is also suppose to work

Tinted Google’s too help if it’s sunny. I lick mine which helps but find it’s just fit, I’ve got an pair of speedos one shape 4yrs old and brill but equally have some ladies aquasphere seems to last 3mths before seal leaks.

Thanks all. DH bought him some anti fog spray today and a new pair to try as well. He has his first short tri in the morning, the big one he has been training for is not a normal tri as it is over a weekend so swim, bike, run are over 3 days and not back to back.
