Sports bra advice needed

I am on the larger side and have recently started a Zumba class. I have an age old sports bra that isn't as supportive as it used to be.

I have ordered two Sports Bras from Simply Be, the first in what I thought was my size but it was massive around the back so I ordered the same cup size but a size smaller back size. The second one is too big on the cup, does anybody know if they fit different?

I'm feeling very crap about my size so I am too embarrassed to go for a fitting at the moment.

Can you measure your under and over bust and post the measurements so we can suggest sizes to try? Which sports bra did you order ?

It's difficult to get the perfect one without going and trying a bunch o as I did the same and found it to be a case of trial and error. Regarding support (especially if you have a larger bust), I found the shock absorber brand after trying loads out. In fact, I've tried most on this list: www.healthster.co.uk/best-sport-bra-big-bust I've come to realise that sports bras a bit like shoes or jeans. The manufacturers always seem to be slightly different when it comes to sizing.

I just use the stretchy pull on ones from Decathlon - they are dead cheap!

She me sports bras do seem to come up a bit differently.

I have to size up one on the band and down one in the cup for all Shock Absorber bras. I was 'true' in the Panache.

It might be worth visiting an actual shop and trying some on (and jumping around undo a bit). Assuming Debenhams doesn't close precipitately, I found they carried a good range.

I agree about shock absorber sizing but they fit really well when you do get one that fits you.
They're often in the debenhams sale or on amazon quite cheap

I will try some of these options.

I recently upgraded my shock absorbers from ones bought 10 years ago. They rubbed horribly under my boobs to the extent I had open wounds after any run over 30 mins. They seemed to fit perfectly so no idea why that happened. Replaced with bras from sweaty Betty which have been good.

I use a bra band (stretchy elastic) over the top of a shock absorber ultimate run bra as I run abit and have large chest. Wiggle sometimes have last seasons shock absorber bras at good value with quick and easy returns. Yes to Debenhams as well.

I Use Vaseline under all rubby bits for long runs to avoid sore bits too.

Try John Lewis, I have a freya one that whilst its a bit of a work out getting the bloody thing on (4 hook job) its really comfortable when it is.
