Erm, fat belly support...

Sooo... obviously I'm a large lady (size 18/20) particularly flabby belly post dc.
Now, when I run or star jump etc my stomach floops up and down and is actually quite sore (and undoubtedly quite scary for any witnesses)

I don't know what to google to find a solution! Is there some kind of flabby belly supporter for exercise?!?!?

Lots of leggings say they have stomach support- can’t remember how they phrase it but was looking for some new running tights and it came up lots

‘Yoga tights in fast-drying functional fabric with a wide waistband to hold in and shape the waist.’

That’s from H&M yoga tights product description but lots say something similar. Might do the trick?

I've always just assumed I'm too big for shops like H&M, will look these up tho! Thank you !

I feel your pain OP, nothing worse than the tummy clap during a star jump 🤦‍♀️

Butteredghost · 05/04/2019 20:59

I hate my belly flopping too, I wear a tight lyrca exercise top tucked in to leggings (all the sports brands do similar types up to about size 18, but cheaper shops do them in plus sizes). Then I wear a loose singlet over that to hide the whole thing.

I wear something like this when I run. My belly doesn't flop but I imagine this would help with that?

Thanks for the tips. Am liking the idea of something tight with something loose over itZ can't believe I never thought of that!

I’ve got some leggings from Fabletics that are really high waisted. Right up to the bottom of my ribs and they keep everything tucked in Grin

But it is a subscription service so you need to remember to cancel after

H&M do a plus size range online, including sports wear, I think up to size 24

dontfluffthefluffer · 06/04/2019 01:56

I wear control pants, sports/running leggings and a compression top that's long enough to go over my fatflap then a T-shirt or loose vest on top.

Layering holds it all in place so I don't knock out a toddler at 25ft when I jump or run

My leggings are from decathlon, about £11 and are high waist. I’ve defo got a belly/bit of jiggle, but they feel great. Mine are pink mosaic patterned too so they hide the lumps and bumps, unlike my expensive Nike and Adidas black ones (Black is definitely NOT slimming with those...).
