What's better for weight loss? HITT or Strength & Conditioning?

I do both sorts of classes, plus boxing. I love it all but I've had an early menopause and I can't shift the last 10lbs. It's driving me nuts - I'm really trying with diet, although I snack (healthy snacks but I know it adds up)

Anyway - what's better for overall weight loss as well as toning - a HITT class or a strength and conditioning class?

Ya

I've found HIIT great for me. I haven't done a strength and conditioning class though so I can't speak to the merits of that. HIIT for me has been a revelation though, feel like it's something that has really made a difference.

Hi @TidyDancer

Thanks - do you mean in terms of shape, weight loss etc?

Both really. But I find I can't get bored with it either, which is my major issue I think so I commit more to it.

Keep them both up as they’re both great (strength stuff a bit more, perhaps) and maybe cross train with some endurance type exercise like running, swimming, cycling. But diet is key to weight loss so you might just have to be stricter there. But that’s less fun and much harder to manage. Good luck!
