Exercises for my flabby arse!

I could really do with some ideas for working my butt muscles at home - at the moment when I lie/sit down the spread to the sides is monumental! I am slim, menopausal and totally unfit and untoned and really belly & thighs need work too!
Have had prolapse surgery and, although healed now, squat type exercises are not on the menu- how else do I get my arse toned and less like a pile of jelly?

Glute bridges
Bird dog
Wall sits (for quads)
Side planks - lift top leg
Normal planks

Get some resistance bands, then you can do exercises on all fours lifting one leg back or to the side, loads of variations.

Thank you! Will be looking all those up and getting my arse in shape!

Walking is fantastic, I have upped my walking to 4 miles a day minimum since the beginning of January and my arse is definitely shrinking and changing shape OP. I did 8 miles today, some uphill, honestly, I bought some white stuff jeggings in the sales and they are falling down

Must add I have also been doing the 5:2 diet.

Thanks box, I do love walking and it's by far my happiest exercise- just need to find time in the day around kids & work to put in the amount I probably need to make a difference. Or may buy one of those stepper things to do at home...

Get ankle weights for when you do your walks. Also if you have stairs at home you could walk up & down the stairs few times a day.

changing, I struggle to make the time available and had to make a huge conscious effort. I walk to work and have started going out for a walk at lunchtime.

Before I moved close enough where I could walk to work I used to drive and literally cross the road from where I parked my car then sit on my arse all day. My job involves concentrating on a screen for a long period of time.

Some days I sat for so long my hips started to feel stiff when I got up!

I wouldn't wear ankle weights personally - not good for the knees.

Definitely walking if u can't do the squats (which are the best for butts) I've been doing lots of classes but the walking uses different muscles. Build up the time when u can and make the most of any spare time
