Do you run in contact lenses?

I used to do a lot of running but haven't been properly for a few years. In that time my eyesight has got a bit worse and I now wear contact lenses full time. This might sound like a silly question but can I go running in them or do I need to take them out? I do get quite sweaty and I'm worried it's not a good idea. They're monthly lenses too so it's not like I can just change them after a run.

Thanks all!

I run in mine. Sometimes they need a good scrub to get the protein off them if I have been extra sweaty.

I've never thought twice about it to be honest. Always run with contacts in, never had a problem.

Same here, have run, swum and worked out in them. Never even thought about it.

All the time.

My optican will let me buy a box of cheaper daily disposables to swim in on an occasional basis outside of my usual monthly ones. You could do that if you find the protein build up too much for you but try it first

Contact lenses are always touted as being good for people who do sports so yes you can totally run in them. :)

I go to the gym and do classes in mine and it's fine

Yes, daily disposables. I'd never considered it an issue either tbh.
