Could somebody please please please tell me your tricks on how to get a nice, big bum because I am struggling!

Squats and lunges

I have a flat arse. Always have done. I've done squats, lunges, the lot. I think a lot of it is down to genetics and now I've just accepted I'll never have a lovely round peach.

I know it's all 'in' at the moment and seen as very attractive to have a huge round arse, but I'm hoping that changes in time Grin

If squats get boring you can lie on your back and do bum/hip raises. You have to do a lot of reps a few times a week to see the benefit. Really concentrate on squeezing your bum with every raise. Pull your tummy in whilst you are at it and that helps look more toned too. Yes to lunges also.

Squats and lunges.

As a former female bodybuilder in my younger years, if you want to build a nice butt you've got to put some weight on the bar and eat in accordance with your training.

Squatting beyond 90 degrees will work your hams and glutes, squatting to only say 45 degrees works your quads.

The glutes are a massive muscle and really difficult to get the mind / muscle connection. It's very difficult to actually get the glutes contracting to the point they shake.

Keep going Smile

Thank you! As PP said, hopefully the big butt trend fizzles our soon because I certainly do not fit into that category😂I've never used weights before to work out so will give that a go next!!

I do body pump classes and that helps change your shape too

nbee84 · 09/12/2018 23:22

Body pump has certainly helped to tone me up - particularly my upper body. Definitely toned my legs up too and once I got my weight up to 30kg for the squat track there has been a noticable rounding of my butt.

nbee84 · 09/12/2018 23:24

And as shesaysgoes has written you need to do a deep squat to fire up your glutes.

DangerMouse17 · 10/12/2018 01:17

Hip thrusts are what you need
