You get shown around the gym, how to use the equipment etc

Congrats on the weight loss that's a huge achievement.

Basically an induction is simply they show you round, how to book classes, where the changing rooms are, how to use the machines, that's all, it's so you don't walk in clueless. Think of it as an orientation.

Basically speaking a gym induction consists of you being shown everything. They are supposed to teach you how to use the machines and then discuss classes etc. It’s essentially a tour of the place. Also I recommend asking them relevant questions.
Depending on how much time you have you may have to fill out some paperwork. My gym induction involved paperwork and a look round the facilities available too.

My gym induction sounds a little more in depth than others - as well as the tour and being shown the machines I was asked about my fitness levels and goals and talked (and shown) through a programme that was set up for me on the key system they used for the machines so I was ready to workout straight away or on my next visit.
