Hamstring/back/piriformis injury?? Please help

Ok, so I'm a regular gym goer and have done this for years. I also run a a bit on the treadmill though only about 3 miles, say 3 times a week.

A few months ago I felt what I thought was a hamstring injury on back of upper thigh. It came and went and some exercise was fine - just certain things made it hurt. Fast forward and for the past few weeks it seems to be there all the time - I can exercise through it but in terms of flexibility I seem to have all but seized up.

I have now also started getting pain in my bum quite alot, particularly when walking long distances. I saw my GP who suggested piriformis syndrome which, to be honest I had already read up on. I have had some deep tissue massage, do lots of bridges/glute strengthening exercises and have eased up on the running. I can do stuff like squats etc without pain. BUT, as I have mentioned, my flexibility is shot to bits. If I lean down to touch my toes, I literally get stuck half way to pain and stiffness which makes me wonder if its something in my back?? The hamstring pain is quite high up but sometimes goes down my leg. Has anyone had anything quite like this?

If I were me I’d go and have a few more sports massages and with a different therapist honestly some aren’t worth going back to.
I do have tight hip flexors I stretch before and then after training. Spending 15 minutes each time. Foam rolling and a lacrosse ball underneath will Lao help

I also do hot yoga up to four times a week this is brilliant for tightness
