What exercise do you do to keep fit?
Do you just attend classes?

I'm really interested to hear what others do apart from the obvious running.

I do have a gym membership, I'm losing my mojo a little due to shifts & kids being off making it difficult to go.

I do body pump, body attack and a couple of gym fit classes a week. It takes a wee while to get into a routine with it but now I feel bad when I don't/cant go

HeavenlyEyes · 03/09/2018 12:41

YouTube, Hiit dvds and I also own a bike/cross trainer.

MistressDeeCee · 03/09/2018 12:42

I exercise at home. I use weights, and a mini-trampoline. Sometimes a Resistance Band also. I have Google Chromecast so can cast YouTube exercise vids to my TV screen - in reality I don't do this aspect although I should, in order to up my exercise game. It's hard to be motivated at home but I'm not a gym lover so do what I can

toomuchfaster · 03/09/2018 12:45

I attend dance classes.

Dreamscomingtrue · 03/09/2018 12:49

Aqua aerobics. swimming most days, 30mins minimum. Zumba, over 50’s aerobics. Walking 30 mins around a lake.

flubbadubble · 03/09/2018 12:50

Kettlebells and a body project YouTube routine. Haven't done it for a while maybe I'll do some tonight!

Ineweverything · 03/09/2018 13:08

I'm doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. 3 X six minute workouts,
3 mins weights,
2 mins cardio,
1 min abs.
With warmup and cool down about 28 minutes. I'm enjoying it.

EllenRipley · 03/09/2018 13:13

HIIT, strength and kickboxing workouts via a website called Fitness Blender. Also aqua-jogging, cycling, walking.

butlerswharf · 03/09/2018 13:19

I do kettlebell, rebounder and treadmill at home.

I do BMF (British Military Fitness) and I love it! I prefer working out outdoors and I really like being part of a group. It's odd for me as I am not a very sociable person and I have never been into team sports but I find working out as part of a group much more motivating and I do far more than I would be able to manage on my own. Plus it's usually a good laugh!

They do classes in local parks and the first session is always free so nothing to lose by trying it out.

DonnaDarko · 03/09/2018 13:34

I used YouTube for all my working out

Yogah Adrienne
Fitness blender
Popsugar fitness

I try to do something every morning.

I'm considering signing up for the British heart Foundation women run the world campaign in October too. Not ever done much running so this could be interesting! 😕☺️

I go to yoga usually once a week at a studio near me, do Fitness Blender videos at home (I've got a few weights, a couple of mats and a kettlebell), we've got a treadmill in the garage, I see a PT fortnightly, and go to a circuits class weekly (term time only). Haven't been to a gym (other than hotel gyms) for years.

Iwantamarshmallow · 03/09/2018 16:40

I had a baby 5 months ago and cant get to my gym becuase its close to work but not home. I go to zumba once a week and i try and take the baby for an hrs walk atleast 3 tines a week if not more. I don't drive so i walk eveywhere avoid the bus and use stairs if i don't have the kids .

nomorenightmares · 03/09/2018 18:28

I run. I did the couch to 5k a few years ago and ran my first half marathon this year. I like how I can fit it in when I get time, rather than having to be at a class at a particular time.

Saying that, i also love my Zumba classes.

nomorenightmares · 03/09/2018 18:30

Oops, just noticed that you said apart from running Blush

maZebraltov · 03/09/2018 20:38

swimming, cycling, kayaking, multi-hour walks, gardening.

NotMoreFootball · 03/09/2018 20:43

An hour long hike every morning in all weathers, really wakes me up and helps me feel good for the rest of the day!

ultrababy · 03/09/2018 21:16

I run. Always have an event lined up to make sure I train for it. Was heavily into triathlon until a couple of years ago when I developed sea sickness open water swimming.

ultrababy · 03/09/2018 21:17

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊didn't see the bit about not running. Ignore me.

VioletCharlotte · 03/09/2018 21:17

I do classes, normally body balance and Pilates 2-3 times a week. Yoga 1-2 times a week. And daily dog walking.

Lynne1Cat · 03/09/2018 22:10

I'm 59 and I do 3 Zumba classes a week, plus aerobics once a week, and quite a lot of walking at weekends
