Serious case of DOMS!

Health kick is going great but after covering 145000 steps in less than a week with a few workouts on top, I ache!! My legs and feet are giving up on me now, standing hurts and sitting down hurts and well moving is rather difficult!

I know it’s simply my muscles getting used to exercise but should I be pushing through the aching or taking it easy? Don’t want to do any damage but also keen to keep going.

Can you manage any stretching? If you swim, that might help, or just go for a very slow walk? Warm bath?

I find the best thing for DOMS is more exercise (a gentle walk perhaps, or swimming, or yoga/stretching). Just gets the blood into the muscles a bit. Foam rolling should help too.

Warm baths have helped but I’ve continued to exercise and the pains have eased. No loss on the scales this week sadly, I’ve worked hard and been under calorie goal. Will just keep going...

I was hoping nobody was going to suggest that. I'm suffering and saw this thread in the hope it said something other than DH's advice of 'go for a slow run to loosen them off. If you don't it'll be worse the day after'.
