Sore bum from spinning

Hello all,
I’m in agony and walking around like John Wayne after completing my first spinning class today. I enjoyed the class and would like to continue but I have such a sore bum.
I know you get used to it but has anyone got any tips?
Thanks.

Padded leggings especially for cycling

Ive never bothered with padded leggings or seats. Get back on the bike - maybe give it 24 to 48 hours but it's something new that your bum and muscles have encountered and they will adjust. I found after about the 3rd go I was no longer saddle sore and it only gets me now if I've not been on a bike for 3 weeks or so - and never as bad as that first time.

You'll get used to it, you just have to keep going. It's not the seat padding, it's your muscles.

You will get used to it but get some of the padded shorts for a while! I reckon it took me about 4 sessions before it stopped rubbing!

I get a sore fanny instead.

It won't hurt for long, stick with it and don't bother getting special clothing. Your arse will soon get used to it's new routine Grin

You do get used to it. I remember my PT laughing at me after I started spinning but he assured me it would get better and it did.

Thanks for he reassuring messages folks! I actually feel like my bum is bruised!
I have ordered some padded shorts off amazon for the time being and will persevere.
Other than the sore bum, I surprised myself on how much I enjoyed it!
Thanks again!
