Advice needed for changing up routine

Short version - anyone successfully swapped from pt to own lead/ app workouts?

About 6 months ago i decided to give working out a go and got myself a pt and did some small group training sessions. 2 or 3 a week plus c25k. These consisted of a lot of resistance work (i Think!) Weighted squats, lunges, deadlifts etc etc.
It got me into the routine of working out, correct form, and having to continue until sessions ended, usually 45 mins long.

Thing is, its rather expensive.
Should i continue as its working and suck up the price for the perceived benefits or join a gym and go it alone, occasionally giving a class there a go? Im worried i won't be as motivated, but on the other hand i get to choose which muscles to target etc.

How do people find running outside as it gets colder and icy?

Has anyone used the sweat pwr app? Would you recommend it?

Urgh. I know i sound silly but for some reason this has become all consuming. I must have a very simple life 😂

I love running outside, especially when it’s colder. Running in the heat isn’t much fun. Maybe join a club for company. That helps me get out at times when I really don’t feel like it.

Maybe reduce your PT session frequency. I see mine once a fortnight, she then gives me a list of what we have done and I follow it at the gym by myself. Works well for me. I then get the progression etc. Or maybe try Body Pump classes. My friends rave about Body Pump.

I reduced my PT frequency but TBh I still work out at home, and can never get the same muscle exhaustion I get from my PT sessions, so I stick with him. It's rare now that I get DOMS after anything other than a PT session.
