Buying some running shoes

I went out for a run yesterday, first time in a long time, took it very gently. While most of me feels absolutely fine, I've got a big bruise down the side of my foot, by my little toe. No idea how that happened.

I reckon my shoes are the issue - they are old! I'm going to go on a shoe hunt tomorrow. What should I be looking for in a pair of running shoes?

Thanks for the update, kitten, good to know it was effective for you. I need gait analysis, I get one sore calf if I go more than 5 or 6 miles. Prob need two pairs, one for coast path trails and one for roads. Happy running!

Thank you!

I’ve had Brooks for a few years now, they are the best running shoes I’ve ever had. I over-pronate, I had Ascics before and they gave my blisters on my (pathetic) arches! Happy running Bad!

Blisters on your arches is impressive!

I can't believe how comfy they are. My feet just were not an issue at all on my first long run this week.

That was when I was training for a 10k. Shorter distances were okay but yes, arches blisters from about 7k! Yes, it’s like running on air when you get decent runners Smile
