Swimming tracker suggestions please?

Just that really. I've finally managed a mile (yay!) but it was with someone else counting lengths for me so much easier. I get very confused after about 6 Blush. Something watch like or a finger clicker seems ideal but I don't know enough about swimming tech to know where to start searching or to buy one. Thanks in advance.

Fitbit flex 2 works well for me

GrainneWail · 20/05/2018 20:18

Thanks, I'll have a look. Do you tap it per length or do something equally easy to register the distance?

I'd also recommend the Fitbit Flex 2. You program in the length of the pool you are swimming in and it does the rest automatically. You don't need to do anything, just swim continuously for at least 10 minutes.

Does lots more too, not just swimming.

Its pretty accurate +/- 2 lengths on a 1km swim

Kerberos · 20/05/2018 21:08

Only downside is it doesn't tell you a live tally. You have to connect and sync with phone.

Huawei Band 2 Pro is waterproof and suitable for swimming. Much cheaper than a fitbit and has GPS for if you run or cycle too. Love mine!

Apple Watch - set the pool length and sway you go, pretty much 100.% accurate, I can see it while I'm swimming and as it has a HR monitor it tells me calories burned.

The app on my phone also shows strokes per length, time per length so I can see how I'm improving/getting more efficient too

I use a misfit ray which seems quite accurate at laps unless your doing leg only drills.
I did a 5k swimm and it was correct.

bruffin · 20/05/2018 21:29

The Huawei is not much cheaper than the fitbit flex 2

GrainneWail · 20/05/2018 21:36

+/-2 lengths is way more accurate than I am do that would be good! And I like the bracelet option

I'm on android so I not sure about the apple watch? I'm also less concerned about GPS and heart rate, but I'll look at the Huawei and misfit now, thanks.

I paid £35 for my fitbit flex 2. It was a black Friday offer before Christmas.
