I’m confused by the range on offer? Just want a basic model, which is best?

Having had all of the fitbits, I think a really good one is the charge 2 HR. I have the ionic now which I love but the charge was brill too

I have the charge two hr and think it's brilliant - does steps, calorie burn and heart rate - also tracks sleep but I don't wear it to bed. Depends what you want it for whether this meets your needs? For example
It doesn't have GPS - but you can bring your phone and it will map runs on Fitbit app ? And you can't swim with it on

I only want mine to count steps, nothing more, so have the One, which is tiny and clips to bra/belt or slips in pocket. It synchs with phone so you track steps there.

If you want basic, go for a cheaper model like the Flex. They have a comparison feature on their website which is handy

I have the flex and love it

I have a Charge 2 HR.
Doubles as a watch.
Monitoring the heart rate was how I knew I was pregnant.

Flex 2 is a bit pointless unless you use it for swimming. Measuring physical activity by steps has been totally debunked - its more important to monitor how much activity you're doing that's raising your heart-rate. I have the Charge 2 but actually I'd love the Verso one day - there's a bit more to it that's like an apple watch, with apps and a bit more functionality.
