Pyriformis Syndrome anybody?

I've been in agony for over a month now with pyriformis syndrome - where the muscle in the back is injured & compresses onto the sciatic nerve. Totally agony!
Has anyone suffered from this and if so, how long did it take to go? What helped? And did Gabapentin help? Thanks

I have had this although a less severe case than yours sounds. I saw a physio who did massage and manipulation for a few months and I did a lot of stretches for it regularly. I didn't need medication other than regular painkillers so can't answer to the effectiveness of gabapentin although it seems like a reasonable thing to try. I hope you get it sorted.

Thank you. It does seem a bit full on, but just thought this was the nature of the injury. Glad to hear you came back from it though :)
