Squishy belly

Hey all....

Basically I hate my body.

I'm not exactly "fat" nor am I "thin" but I feel like my belly is very squishy for want of a better word.

What is the best way to firm up my skin?!

I'm 5'4 and weigh around the 9st mark. Had a baby 9 months ago if that makes any difference

Any chance you have diastasis recti (separated abdominal muscles)? That can make your belly look and feel squishy because the muscles underneath aren't in the right place.

Hey, we have all been there! Try to cut out snacks or eat healthy snacks. Drink plenty of water. Start with brisk walks if feeling unfit. I do 10 minute workouts per day (lots on YouTube). I do 5 minutes high intensity (for fat burning) then 5minutes core and main muscle groups. Even if you do this to a strict5 day week instead of 7 you will be surprised how quickly things tone over a few weeks. If you miss a day try to get back into it so it becomes a behaviour! Good luck! Don’t be too hard on yourself! X

I don't think there's any issues with muscles etc. To be blunt, my diet could be better and I should exercise more but didn't know what sort of exercise is best for me!

Thank you both for your replies :)

You could do 50star jumps and 50 squats, then some press ups or a plank for as long as you can count for minimum 30 seconds if possible. Then repeat once. I struggle with press-ups so I can only do 10 proper ones. I have been dipping into the kids easter eggs 🤭so I really need to sort that one! Sometimes if I miss a day I do some squats when the kettle is boiling/I am brushing my teeth! I also go up the stairs on my own 2 at a time. Hope that helps x
