Trainers- need recommendations

Just that really! I run 2-3 times a week, nothing over 10k and need some new trainers. My feet roll in slightly and I’d like something reasonably durable as my current ASICS haven’t lasted at all well and have a hole over the big toe after a couple of months.
I’d like to keep it under £50 if possible so any recommendations would be great.

DH and I both wear Asics Kayano, not under your £50 budget I'm afraid. DH has very dodgy knees, and finds these are best for his needs, and I like the support I get (narrow feet, I can get a narrow width, plus I overpronate).

We do get them as cheaply as possible though: previous seasons at outlets are a good source, and sometimes they do better deals (I got an end of season clearance pair of men's Kayanos for about £36 in my size - I don't give 2 figs what they look like as long as they support me).

Your current trainers probably haven’t worn well because they don’t fit properly. I’d recommend getting running shoes properly fitted at a running shop. I do this for about every third pair; in between I hunt the internet for the same style and save a few £££.

Thanks for the advice. I agree that I don’t care what they look like, just that they do what I need them to do!
I’ve always been a bit nervous of going into a running shop; think I feel like a bit of a fraud! And the idea of doing the gait analysis on a treadmill is so daunting!
Great name by the way Bike

A good running shop will be welcoming so don't worry, they get a huge range of people in. And it's worth it to try on more shoes. Once you know what suits you, sites like sportsshoes.com are useful for lower prices
