Stress fractures

Anyone else had multiple stress fractures? How did you get through them? And how have you prevented getting more?

I'm on my second and need to have a full body bone density scan next week. My heal bone density scan showed my heal bones are terrible. I'm in my early 30s and shouldn't have 80year old bones Sad

I don't have any personal experience of this; I hope you recover soon. From what I've read, diet has something to do with it, particularly in relation to female hormone levels. The book ROAR by Stacey Sims is all about female physiology and making your exercise and diet work with it, maybe useful for you. The bone scan will give you a clearer picture of what's going on. Have you had bloods done too?

Thanks for your response. I will look into that book. I've had a whole bunch of bloods done all normal so far.

Glad the bloods are normal. I guess you will have a clearer picture after the one scan. Hope you can get a plan to put things right. Good luck
